Hay esperanza...tolvaptan / There is hope...tolvaptan

I have been following online the latest news about the new discovery to try to treat, not cure, polycystic kidney disease (PKD) .
Tolvaptan in the new medicine presented in the last congress that will for sure bring hope to all the patients suffering this condition.
It is true that is not yet a cure, but I mean...
Isn't it amazing the fact that it managed to half the growing of the cyst and kidney and also reduces the time that they need to have dialysis or a transplant?
One of the worst parts of this sickness is actually the discomfort due to the kidney side in its late stages.
It seems little but... it's not the same to take 4 years instead of 4 before you need to go into dialysis or have a kidney transplant.
As always that news about this come around I can't help thinking about my dad and my grandma... and a huge wonderful hope fills my heart with the expectation that when my own kids grow up and if any of both of them have my illness there will be a cure for it, and if not a cure, at least a treatment like this one presented.
It might be just a bit late for me, but not for them!!
This are wonderful  news !!
